Discover the Beauty & Serenity of Rams Hill Golf Club

Play the award-winning, nationally recognized, Tom Fazio designed course. Open to the public.

With five sets of tees, the course plays to just over 7,200 yards, sports a 75.1 rating and 141 slope from the back tees. Something really unique for a desert course is the incredible height variations and views of the desert floor hundreds of feet below. And the quiet mountain vistas, streams, ponds, and lakes make this an unforgettable golfing experience.

More Than a Great Golf Course

Leave the city and its worries in your rear view mirror as you drive through avocado, citrus and apple orchards to Rams Hill perched on a hillside surrounded by the immense Anza Borrego Desert. Hang by the pool, challenge the fabulous Tom Fazio golf course, or sit back and enjoy the sights and sound of the desert. Take in the mountain vistas, hike the Indian trails where you might spot a desert big horn sheep on a distant hillside, or do as little, or as much as you’d like. Endless beauty surrounds; how you soak it in is all up to you.

The Rams Hill restaurant offers an incredible wine list and a fresh “farm to table” culinary experience. Guests enjoy an unrivaled view of the Santa Rosa Mountains while dining high above the desert floor. As you dine on the Rams Hill patios tucked into the rocky hillside, the raw landscape is alive with the sounds of a nearby waterfall, the croaking frogs, a screeching red tail hawk, and the howl of a distant coyote.

Time slows down as you admire the clouds casting their shadows on the distant dappled mountain. Before the sun sinks behind a distant mountain the shadows slowly work their way across the desert floor, creep up the craggy mountain slopes and melts into the dark. Dusk brings ever changing light:  the transitions from steel gray to powder blues, rich purples and glowing reds. Then the night emerges with its incredible star studded skies and the moon changing from orange to milky white as it rises over the mountains.

Golf Advisor’s Golfers Rated Rams Hill the
Best Course in the Country in 2016.

There are not many courses that I will drive 300 miles (one way) to play, but Rams Hill is definitely one of those courses.

I’ve never rated anything 5 stars before but this course is amazing. The course was in wonderful shape with fairways as deep color green as you can imagine. The greens were pure and true. I did find a lot of sand but even that was in in great shape. Never had a bad lie that I didn’t deserve. Staff was friendly and the food was excellent.

R. Berman,

Incredible golf course, in pristine condition. A Tom Fazio design that rivals and beats the best private clubs in Palm Springs. The greens were amazing. Director of Golf Mike Setchell has put together an amazing staff. Take the time to play this beautiful course and you’ll go back again and again.

The course was in terrific condition. The staff was the most courteous of any gold course I have played. The views were spectacular. It was a very enjoyable round of golf and the food at the clubhouse was very good. It was well worth the drive from PGA WEST in La Quinta.

The course looks amazing, fairways are gorgeous. A+ warmup facilities with ProV1 practice balls and rangefinders. From the course, to the staff, to the food it was a wonderful time and we all left wondering how quickly we can get back out there. From loading our bags on the cart to cleaning our clubs when we left, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I can’t say enough positive things about this place and the staff that run it. They even have a couple golf boards you can rent!
