Year 3 of The Ramateur Tees Off Dec. 3-4, 2022

Rams Hill Signature Events continue to draw attention throughout Southern California — and Year 3 of The Ramateur is once again setting the tone for a fun-filled 2022-2023 golf season at Rams Hill Golf Club as this year’s event features more sponsors than ever before. Prizes, giveaways and swag from TaylorMade Golf, Metalwood Studios, Tyler Golf Bags, The Golfer’s Journal, Grips on the Go, The Number Thirty Three, Bay Wood Makery and custom-designed T-shirts courtesy of Ethika will be on hand in addition to Rams Hill’s Raffle Grand Prize “House on the Hill Golf Getaway” for one lucky winner. The Ramateur will once again include on-course pizza from La Jolla’s Wheat + Water and beverage brands Cutwater, Dogleg Brewing Company, Crafted Brand Company and Good Walk Coffee Company. Plus, Rams Hill’s Steak Cookout, Ram Shack Tacos and Apple-Caramel Cookies will be back, as always. And North County Buick-Cadillac-GMC returns to sponsor a Hole-in-One contest for anyone hitting the perfect shot.

What’s The Ramateur? It’s two days (Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3-4) of individual net stroke-play competition on Rams Hill’s Golf Digest Top 100 Public Course, designed by Tom Fazio, plus other friendly contests in our Full Swing Simulator and outdoor game area. Trophies are awarded for low-gross winners and net flights based on number of entrants. Participants must be Amateur players and must have an active GHIN number to participate.

Light Up the Night. This year, we’re adding a new twist to The Ramateur. Participants can play our makeshift four-hole GlowBall golf competition on Friday night, Dec. 2, with the chance of winning a Rams Hill “Golf Illumination” MetalPrint from award-winning photographer Brian Oar. Plus, we’ll have other games (tennis-ball golf, corn hole and more) and a no-host beverage cart set up to amp up the pre-event party atmosphere.
