Rams Hill Golf Club kicked off the 2021-2022 season in beautiful style over the weekend of November 5-7 with a sold-out tee sheet, friendly faces and the Rams Hill Experience golfers and travelers have come to expect in the seven years the course has been operating under new ownership. And since we shut the doors on last season, Rams Hill has added a new honor to our resumé — recently named one of Golf Digest’s 100 Greatest Public Courses in America.
“We’re excited about the recognition we’ve received, and even more excited about how the golf course is looking — and playing — for our guests this season,” said General Manager Harry Turner. “Our agronomy team has worked hard over the summer to create that “Wow Moment” impression, both for golfers who have been coming to Rams Hill for years and those who are making their first trip to see what we’re all about.
And the Rams Hill Experience goes beyond the very-green fairways and greens. Our popular Ram Shack Tacos on the 14th tee and now-famous post-round Apple-Caramel Cookies are back for another season. And we’re selling Rams Hill Golden Ale from Dogleg Brewing Company for those who enjoy a tasty local beverage or two. Plus, the Full Swing Golf Simulator, Practice Facility and Tennis Ball Golf are already getting plenty of use.
Of course, we have more than just conditioning and cookies going for it this season. Rams Hill is gaining a reputation as a place where many of golf’s high-profile content creators gather to collaborate. Photographer, social-media personality and all-around good guy Matt Cardis (@golfinyourstate) was on property for Opening Weekend (and he’ll be an unofficial “resident” for the next month), any many more creative people throughout the golf business are on the books to bring their talents to Rams Hill this season.
“We’re in such a synergistic location, so close to Hollywood, Los Angeles and San Diego,” says Wil Mayo, director of business development. “And that means we have this amazing opportunity to have so many friends who love golf and love Rams Hill but also have incredible photography, video and artistic skills — and they want to help us share the Rams Hill story.”
And it’s working. Many weekend days in the next few months are nearly sold out, and Rams Hill is currently booking Stay & Play Packages through the end of the season (May 2022). Stay & Play Packages in Rams Hill Golf Houses or partner resorts are the only way to book tee times outside 30 days, plus Stay & Play guests receive preferred tee times, special rates and concierge booking service.
“We’re confident that if we can get you to make the trip out to the desert, you’ll see why so many golfers love Rams Hill,” Turner says. “One of the best Tom Fazio golf courses in the country is at the center of everything, but there’s so much more to what we do. And hopefully every golfer sees that once they get here.”
