The Ramateur 2020
Rams Hill Golf Club’s fun-filled golf tradition takes its first swings
Rams Hill Golf Club kicked off December and helped usher out 2020 with the inaugural playing of The Ramateur, our fun-filled weekend of competition, prizes, food and beverage that looks to be a tradition for years to come. With 36 holes played over Dec. 5-6, 2020, four first-time champions were crowned while a few others (including @golfinyourstate’s Matt Cardis) garnered Closest to the Pin honors on the Tom Fazio-designed championship course.
“Our first year with The Ramateur was definitely a success,” says Wil Mayo, Rams Hill’s director of golf sales and business development. “Even with a few protocols to work through, the players had a great time whether or not they were in the hunt for a trophy. As with any event, we learned a lot the first time around and are looking forward to making future events bigger, better and even more fun.”
List of Ramateur 2020 Winners:

What’s Next?
Plans for The Ramateur 2021 (scheduled for the weekend of December 4-5) are already under way — and, as Wil said above, we expect to make it bigger and even better. If you can’t wait until December, Rams Hill’s newest two-player-team event — The Clash — is coming May 22-23, 2021. Check back after Jan. 15, 2021, for updates on early signups to ensure your spot in our limited fields for both tournaments.
And don’t forget: You can visit Rams Hill any time November-May. Explore our Golf House Stay & Play Packages, which can be booked months in advance, or use our Book Now to reserve daily-fee tee times within 30 days.
By the way, did you know Rams Hill also had a few photographers roaming the grounds during The Ramateur? To see photos of the winners plus what other candids (both good and bad) were captured, check out the Gallery below.
